My professional pathway

BSc Cognitive Science (Focus on Linguistics, Computational Linguistics)
MSc Integrated Neurosciences (Focus on Psychophysics)
Certified Master of Estill Voice Training

- 2011: Started a PhD at the Excellence Cluster „Languages of Emotion“ at Freie Universität Berlin, work group „Musik- und Biopsychologie“ (research on music-induced goosebumbs)
- 2012: Quit the PhD after 1,5 years
- 2013: Started working at Babbel in Berlin, first as a knowledge manager, then built a team for internal communications
- 2013: Also became a singer and vocal coach (self-employed)
- 2019: Change & communication manager at AERQ, Hamburg
- Since 2021: Senior consultant for change/transformation and internal communication at MPC, Hamburg

My CogSci student experience

Why is Cognitive Science in Osnabrück a great place to study?
I believe that this program is a door to everything. It teaches you how to think. You meet the most interesting people out there and you become part of a fantastic community. And I could not imagine more fun and fascination in any other program.

Linguistics, Computational Linguistics

My advice for you

Many of us in the BSc program switched to a more specified Master lateron, in the fear of a „too broad“ education with not enough focus on anything particular. Looking back, I don’t think that this is important at all. The broadness of the education is one of its superpowers, and you can still specify two years later.
