Currently, I teach Neuropsychology and study naturalistic social interaction using fNIRS.

Why is Cognitive Science in Osnabrück a great place to study?
It is the most well-integrated Cognitive Science program in Europe, and it has the most versatile study options with leading experts in core topics.

What did you specialise in during your studies?
Neuroimaging, social interaction, autism

Which skills from your degree programme have helped you the most in your professional life?
The fMRI and MATLAB courses were the most helpful to my career.

My advice for you

•    Use university applications as an opportunity to network with the professors in your desired topic. Contact everyone who is an already-established scientist, even if you’re not sure if you will apply to their university. Stay in touch across the years.
•    Don’t get discouraged by feedback. Everything is a learning experience – always embrace the opportunity to improve.
•    Even if someone doesn’t understand your vision or your work, someone else probably will.
