BSc examination field: Cognitive Psychology (KOGW-WPM-KNP)
MSc: Major subject

MSc major: Cognitive Psychology
Syllabus:Due to restricted lab-capacities, 8 students can be accepted. Students interested in participating should attend the first meeting on April 3rd. After some further information on the course, students can then decide whether they want to participate or not. In case there are more than 8 interested students, final participants will be determined based on a lottery. In this course students will learn about the theoretical and practical basics for conducting and analyzing EEG-studies. We will especially focus on event-related potentials. The theoretical knowledge will be conveyed via student presentations. The second part of the seminar includes conducting an EEG-measurement and analyzing the collected data. To obtain course credit, students are expected to actively participate in the seminar and hold a presentation. Psychology students can receive a "Schein" for their participation. Students of Cognitive Science can receive course credit either in the Bachelor's program (Wahlpflichtmodul Neurowissenschaft & Kognitive (Neuro-)Psychologie) or in the Master's program (Schwerpunktmodul Master: Kognitive Psychologie & Neurowissenschaft ). The course will be held on two Saturdays (likely on May 20th and June 3rd, but I'm open to alternatives). Furthermore, there will be a first meeting on April 3rd, 16:00 (4pm) in room 15/313.
